Randy Dryburgh is back at it again with his "get it done" attitude that made the last two RTJ renewable energy projects so successful! Clearly, Randy's experience as a teacher engaging students and his vast knowledge of renewable energy make him a critical part of this project and an invaluable member of the RTJ crew. Bob Clarkson is the enthusiastic design and technological studies teacher at WCI. Bob jumped on board with this project right away - wasting no time in starting up an after-school club to start with the design and evaluation of different alternative vehicles. Bob's positive and ambitious attitude really "drives" the students into "high-gear!" Arnold Henkel is always on the go - probably because he's the auto shop teacher and the cross-country team coach at WCI! He spends countless hours helping students during and after school showing them the bits, bolts and belts in the shop with numerous projects in progress. Arnold will be the teacher facilitating the building of the vehicle starting in January, but he's "revving" to go already! Kyle Bishop is the brand spankin' new Com Tech teacher at WCI, and he's bringing lots to the table. Kyle knows a whole lot in the world of technology, so he's helping document the process and bring the club to you through a blog by the WCI students. Thanks to Kyle, everyone will be able to follow along - the next best thing to being there! There are many more people involved with this project including other teachers at WCI, the student design club, University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team (UWAFT) and other RTJ members. |
