We learned a lot during out 2008 project and we’ve complied some of the best in this year’s brochure. There’s some interesting (and shocking!) statistics about air quality in the Waterloo Region, and we’ve shared some things that we learned from the residents who completed our follow-up survey.

Home Show 2007 Flyer (pdf)
This pamphlet shows the great work Reduce the Juice and the businesses in Orangeville did with energy reductions by retrofitting lighting systems and making other changes. Check this out to see the amount of energy they ended up saving! And how much energy your company could potentially save!

Doors Closed RTJ Poster 2007 (pdf)
Reduce the Juice approached many businesses regarding keeping their doors closed. When air conditioning is on it is important to keep the building as sealed as possible in order to prevent cool air from escaping. These posters were placed on doors to remind customers and employees to keep the door closed!

BCI Recognition Sticker 2007 (pdf)
Reduce the Juice gave these stickers out to companies who made changes allowing them to reduce their energy consumption. The stickers were then placed in the front window of the business to show off how they were contributing to a greener future.

Orangeville Blue Barrel Pamphlet 2006 (pdf)
The Blue Barrel is an integral part to the lessons that RTJ gives. It’s certainly hard to envision just how much CO2 makes up a ton. The Blue Barrel allows people to see just how much CO2 they put into the air. Check this out to see the enormous numbers and ways you can cut down your number of Blue Barrels!

Shelburne Lawn Sign 2005 (pdf)
Residents who signed the pledge had the option of putting this sign on their lawns to show that they’re doing their part to reduce their energy consumption.
