Shelburne Team

Sarah Tratt has just completed her second year at Brock University where she is working towards her Honours BA in English and Professional Writing. She is looking forward to being home for the summer and working on a focused community program. Sarah lives in town with her parents and three sisters. She is excited about being on the streets with the high school students and bringing energy conservation awareness to the neighborhoods of Shelburne.

Sarah Fairlie is going into her third year on her way to obtaining a BSc in Environmental Chemistry from McGill University in Montreal. She is excited to be home in Mulmur for the summer to slot in some quality time with her friends, family, and horse. She is very excited about the project, and wants to help Shelburne become a model in energy conservation for other towns.

Alicia (aka. Alicia the Creature) Hi my name is Alicia and I just completed my last semester at CDDHS. I am 17 years old and have lived in Grand Valley all my life. I play 3-pitch in Shelburne and also played on the girl's softball team at school. I am excited to see the results of our summer project because I really do care about the environment, and hope our hard work has an impact on the people of Shelburne. I look forward to visiting everyone door to door and hope you enjoy your time learning from us.

Star (aka the Energy Star) Hi I'm Star. I just finished grade 11 at CDDHS. I'm very excited to begin my last year of high school in the fall. I enjoy working with all of the Reduce the Juice team members. I'm 17 years old and live with my family outside of Grand Valley. I've been on the senior girl's basketball team for 2 years. Reduce the Juice is a fun working experience that allows me to meet new people and see old faces. I hope that we can meet our 5% goal. If you see us on the streets don't be afraid to ask us questions about energy conservation, and I hope you have a safe and fun filled summer!

Trevor (aka. Trevor B will set your energy free) Hi my name is Trevor, you may recognize my face as that of Joseph from the CDDHS musical production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat this spring. I am 18 years old and live in Mansfield. Working for Reduce the Juice thus far has really opened my eyes to new and inventive ways to conserve energy. I am heading to school in Calgary in the fall and I hope I can take these new skills with me as I move out on my own. Please have fun, stay safe, and reduce your energy use. See you on the streets!

Janine (aka the efficient machine) I'm Janine, I just finished high school and am currently looking forward to attending Humber College in the fall. I enjoy living on a farm in Grand Valley with goats. I play drums and love photography. I like meeting new people and having long walks on the beach. Reduce the Juice is a great idea and I hope we get lots of community involvement. So turn off your lights and remember Power bars are your friends. We'll be at your doorstep soon with smiles.
